Legal
Privacy notice
This notice explains, in plain English, what happens to personal information you choose to send us. It is designed around UK GDPR and PECR principles.
This website does not collect personal data
This site is a static public website. It has no contact forms, no accounts, no sign-in, no database and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or share visitor information.
Information you send us by email
Every enquiry on this site opens an email to our enquiries inbox. When you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include, which may be:
- your name, email address and telephone number;
- your CV, work history, qualifications and referee details;
- the roles, locations and salary ranges you are interested in;
- details of a vacancy you are hiring for, and your organisation's contacts.
Please send us only what is necessary. We do not ask for special category data such as health information, and we would rather you did not include it unless a specific role genuinely requires it and we have explained why.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Legitimate interests — to reply to your enquiry, discuss roles and carry out permanent recruitment work you have approached us about.
- Contract — to provide recruitment services to an employer client under agreed terms.
- Consent — where you ask us to keep your details on file for future roles, or to send you role information by email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep records, for example right to work or tax records related to a placement.
Who we share it with
We share candidate information with a prospective employer only after you have agreed to be put forward for a specific role. We may share client vacancy details with candidates we are representing. We also use ordinary business service providers such as our email provider, who process information on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful to the conversation you started, and candidate records for as long as we are actively working with you or you have asked us to keep them on file. We review records periodically and delete what we no longer need. Records connected to a placement may be kept longer where law or legitimate business need requires it.
Where your data is held
Our email and business systems are provided by established suppliers. Where information is processed outside the UK, we expect appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy or the International Data Transfer Agreement to be in place.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To make any of these requests, email our enquiries inbox with "Data request" in the subject line and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity before we act. We aim to respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
